About Me
Dr S.H. Goh is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is concurrently an Adjunct Faculty at the Singapore Management University (SMU), a Senior Associate Faculty at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). A management scientist and an industrial engineer by training, Dr Goh's research and teaching interests are in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, International Trade and Analytics/Statistics. Outside of academia, Dr Goh has more than 15 years of managerial experience in the logistics and transportation industry in Asia, across multiple sub-sectors from domestic distribution, warehousing, freight forwarding, demand planning to container shipping.
Dr Goh has worked at multi-national companies such as a major supply chain services provider, a major container shipping line, and a marine infrastructure consultancy. His professional expertise are in strategy development, driving transformational growth and organisational restructuring. As a certified facilitator, Dr Goh has facilitated executive workshops on logistics innovation and integrated business planning. As a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Dr Goh is also experienced in advising on mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and joint ventures (JV) within the logistics industry throughout the Asia-Pacific region, in areas such as investment evaluation, buy-versus-build analysis and deal structuring. Dr Goh has also served as a subject-matter expert in logistics and supply chain management for some of the world's leading management consultancies.
On a personal level, Dr Goh is concerned about climate change and the environmental impact of economic activities, long before "sustainability" became a buzz word. Drawing on his expertise in logistics, he helped draft a Public Consultation Report on "Developing Singapore’s Long-Term Low Emissions Strategy" for the National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS), as well as a report on "A Framework for Evaluating Energy Sustainability Efforts in Maritime Terminal Operations" to the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore.
