Course Evaluations

I have taught various subjects in the areas of business/management and have had more than 2,000 students in the past 15+ years. 

The following feedback was provided anonymously by students who have attended my lectures and seminars. These insights are shared to help prospective students make an informed decision about whether to enroll in my classes. 

For module ANL305 Association and Clustering

• "I find that Prof. Goh's explanation is really beneficial, easily understandable and broken down into chunks that are understandable. He also puts in more time and effort to explain difficult concepts or formulas involved such as the clustering formula calculation, etc. The examples that he gives are real-life based and relevant which makes it more relatable and understandable. The pace of lessons are remarkable, and the choice of encouraging class participation unlike the usual knockout rooms is a great choice indeed. The 3 hours spent with him every biweekly has always been productive to say the least, and every lesson I felt more knowledgeable and understood the content sufficiently purely based on his explanation and guidance. Prof. Goh's clarification and response to queries is detailed and explains sufficiently to the context of the question. His response and turnaround time is less than a day, and this is particularly useful when he responded to my last minute clarifications of an assignment...All in all, I genuinely feel that Prof. Goh had been extremely helpful and competent in his capabilities as an educator, and I believe he would have made significant positive impact for the rest of the students in my TG group...I was inspired to continue pursuing electives in data mining by Prof Goh's impeccable teaching standards."

This shows that he is constantly thinking about OM even when he is reading the newspaper. Also like to challenge the formulas and concepts that are taught to us and put them into layman terms which is very simple to understand.  Even my FASS friends that find the lecture intimidating find his lessons understandable. He also listens carefully to what the students have to say and refine our answers into something that relates to previous topics or OM concepts. “
